THE NOSHI Operation Guide

This guide explains the steps to introduce the Noshi selection function to your store using the app, confirm order information, and perform printing.

1. Initial Setup (Displaying on Store)

After installing the app, you need to add the "Noshi Selector Block" to your online store's cart screen.

1. Go to Online Store → Themes in your Shopify admin, and click the Customize button for your current theme.
2. Select Cart from the dropdown menu at the top of the screen.
3. Click Add section in the left sidebar.
4. Select Noshi Selector from the "Apps" tab.
5. Drag and drop it to the appropriate position on the cart screen (e.g., above the "Checkout" button).
6. Click Save at the top right to complete the setup.

2. Customer Operation (Cart Screen)

Once the setup is complete, customers will be able to perform the following operations on the cart screen when they request a gift.

• Select Purpose (Title): Simply choose from a list of scenes such as "Uchi-iwai" (Inner celebration), "O-iwai" (Celebration), or "O-seibo" (Year-end gift), and the most appropriate Mizuhiki (decorative cord) will be selected automatically.
• Enter Giver's Name: Customers can accurately enter names while checking a real-time vertical writing preview.
• Automatic Etiquette Application: Appropriate Mizuhiki (such as bow-knot or square-knot) is automatically applied according to the purpose, so customers won't have to worry about gift-giving etiquette.

3. Merchant Operation (Verifying Information and Printing)

When an order is placed, you can verify the Noshi information directly from the standard Shopify order management screen and print it using the dedicated layout.

1. Verifying Information

Check the Additional details section located on the right or bottom of the order details screen. The "Purpose," "Title," and "Giver's Name" entered by the customer are stored as order attributes.

2. Printing

1. Click the Print button at the top right of the order details screen.
2. Select THE Noshi from the menu.
3. The print layout will be displayed. Verify the content and use your browser's print function to print if everything is correct.
   • The layout is optimized for printing in the center of A4 paper or on dedicated Tanzaku-noshi (strip) paper.
   • Note: While it is possible to temporarily adjust the content on the print preview screen before printing, please note that those changes will not be saved (persisted) to the Shopify order data.

4. Plans and Billing

"THE NOSHI" is free for storefront display and data storage, but a paid plan subscription is required to use the printing and editing functions from the admin screen.

You can subscribe to a plan from the app dashboard or from the guidance displayed when you click the print button.
